Tosham is a politically significant area for the Bansi Lal family, with deep-rooted political connections. Anirudh Chaudhary, 48, is the son of former BCCI president Ranbir Mahendra and the grandson of four-time Haryana chief minister Bansi Lal. He faces tough competition from his cousin, Shruti Choudhry, who is running for the BJP. This rivalry adds to the tension in a constituency that has long been a stronghold for the Bansi Lal family.
